Our dedicated ram collection and freezing centre has been specifically designed to provide a controlled environment for semen collection, assessment and processing.
Rams are accommodated in secure indoor housing, with flexible week-by-week stay packages available depending on the number of breeding doses required and the individual animal’s training requirements.
Where possible, semen is collected using an Artificial Vagina (AV), producing the highest quality samples. If required, collection can also be performed using an Electroejaculator (EEJ) where appropriate.

Following evaluation, semen is carefully processed using controlled freezing protocols before being packaged into labelled breeding straws and stored in liquid nitrogen at -196°C.
Each collection includes a post-thaw quality assessment to confirm the semen has successfully tolerated the freezing process before being placed into long-term storage.
